SAF Mobile Column - Combined Rehearsal #1 for Singapore's NDP 2010

Note: Thousand apologies for the poor quality as this was captured from my humble Nikon Coolpix, sans tripod.

Event: Singapore National Day Parade 1st Combined Rehearsal (CR1)

Venue: St. Andrew Road aka the "Padang".

Date: 19 June, 2010.

For the 1st time in 40 years, since AMX-13 light tanks first rolled down the Padang in 1969, we see recently introduced Leopard 2A4 main battle tanks thundering down the very same stretch of road. Another newcomer to spot in this column is the Terrex ICV.

This is where the taxpayers money goes? Equipments and advance vehicles to help the soldiers in battlefield and helping civilians during crisis such as war. Don't worry, our soldiers and equipments are not meant to attack another country, but rather to defend our country at all cost while minimizing casualties of soldiers and civilians on our land. First defence we enforce are dealing with the incoming threats that are trying their luck on our home soil. SAF, SPF & SCDF makes us safe.

Mobile toilet at 8:10, followed by the mobile laundromat at 8:20! No mobile column for the last couple of years so they really overdid it this year.

well done. i like it !A better view!better than the actual done at nite..NDP used to be held in the morning, everything is clear , maybe should do it for the 5 years once at Padang. Some fengshui master said national celebration is better to be held in bright day light. to have Bright Future for the country. think about it.......
