The Buckeyes took a 7-6 lead into half with the Aggies getting the ball to start the third quarter. On that drive, Spielman picked off a Kevin Murray pass and ran it back for six. Turnovers were the story of the game for the Aggies. Kevin Murray went 12 of 31 passing with 5 INTs (2 to Spielman), allowing the Buckeyes to blow open the game in the second half. The Buckeyes won 28-12, with Spielman taking home defensive MVP honors for his efforts.

Spielman's one of the best color men in football right now. I'd kinda hate to see him give that up.

His wife's prolonged illness and family obligations probably had something to do with it. Assistant coaches spend a lot of time away from their families. I too would like to see him at OSU, its where he belongs.

I remember this game because it was the game where a Dallas sportswriter wrote an article saying that Earle Bruce dressed poorly, so Earle came out wearing a suit and fedora. hahaha
