  • But, you're like, hitting it. o_o

  • What kind of person pets a dog by lightly hitting it on the head anyway? I have never seen anyone do that. I can't imagine anyone or anything enjoys that on their head. My dog loves having her head gently rubbed. If she didn't she would burrow her big ole head under my hand constantly. Sheesh.

  • I think you are 100% spot on. I teach dog training classes and so very many people think they are praising their dogs when they are in fact punishing them. People usually do pat as hard and as quickly as you are, on all parts of the dog's body. Well done! The more people who can recognize that head pats are not appreciated by dogs, the better! :)

  • @ashleywalker33 There's a big difference between an owner rubbing their dog on the head, and a stranger patting, even lightly, the dog's head. ;-)

  • @DoggieRoadRunner Yes many people do this to dogs they don't even know.

  • Slapping the jesus out of their head...WELL YEAH. People dont like that either so why the hell would you do it to a dog? You don't have to dissect it and make it so complicated.

  • @BinglesI thats what patted means..

  • You're smacking the dog on the head... Err of course they wouldn't like that lol

  • You'd be surprised how many people still do this and think it's okay and/or dogs like it! As you can see in the video, dog flinches, tail wags slowly, eyes close, and dog licks lips. All stress signals!

  • try this with my rottie or pit bull... get warned once and then bit.
