lovely little vid+even lovlier little press bed!! the one I used was huge! 150yrs old too+took me all my might to turn the wheel...I want a press like this,any ideas in the UK where to get one this size? ....many thanks,well done Sophie ;)))))))

hello.....would the texture of the finish be really smooth or lumpy.....and if it is lumpy do you discard them?

what kind of ink did you use? i'm just starting. i used a metal plate to begin. is using copper plates better?

@claudiabelle69 I use two ink companies' ioks: Daniel Smith and Charbonnel. Both blacks and colors. I like copper, the cost is worth it. Long lasting, versatile, makes a beautiful plate to look at and art collectors appreciate it. First print sold pays for the plate! Also brass, but not as good. I don't like zinc, aluminum or steel.

thanks for the video!! ^_^ it helps a lot, now I'm confident to make the drypoint plate for our MATERIALS class... :D I also like the video you have on monotype... ^_^
