Perhaps the most talked about kata from Isezaki Araki-ryu kempo: "San Kyoku No Dan kata". These three kata (San kyoku no dan) are the basics of the ryuha's torite & jujutsu. Filmed by Ben Sharples-Kitano November 3rd 2005. Description by Steve Delaney.
I love the realism here @ 0:29. What I mean simply is that tori (the connector) had to move uke (the connected) in order to effectively complete this technique. The movies always makes it seem like brute strength, but those in the know...know best.

The version I've seen is, indeed, more "brutal". It involves throwing the try into uke's face and can be followed up by stabbing with a knife concealed under the tray, or with various grapples and strikes.

Thumb assisted kotegaeshi and foot stomp. For some reason from description I had heard of this kata I had expected something more brutal. I guess it is the context of attacking the fellow while you are serving him tea that elicits such a strong reaction to this kata by budoka
