I will comment here since the other site censors free comments. China is a superpower because it decided to shift massively toward capitalism beginning decades ago. There is a heavy emphasis in education and ofcourse sheer numbers. They have undergone the most massive poverty eradication program the world has ever seen. China should not be given too much credit though. It is an authoritarian state. And Chinas holding of debt is irrelevant to controlling the U.S. It will never be paid back.
