I remember this game like yesterday...as a Cowboy fan...Dallas rested D White since NFC East was already won the week before...49ers exploded in 2nd half with 3 touchdowns for easy win.31-16...Dallas won the NFC East with mirrors in 1985 because clearly Wash/NY had more talent..but somehow, someway..Dallas stole the division..I say this as a die hard C'Boy fan since 1982...two weeks later E Dickerson would run for 248 and bury Dallas 20-0 in LA in playoffs

" At the end of the 1985 season in a game against the Cowboys, Ronnie Lott, then in his glory days with the 49ers, mangled his left pinky in a brutal collision with running back Timmy Newsome. Bone fragments and parts of Lott's finger lay somewhere in the turf. Lott came out of the game briefly -- a game his team won to gain a wild-card berth in the NFC playoffs. "
