  • hahaha the ending:)

  • @Warnerchild Haha! indeed! :)

  • "I'm glad this could be resolved so peacefully :)"

Not the actions one would expect from a "sheep of doom"

  • @Warnerchild Yes I know what you mean, along lines of purely making money (and music politics) I can definitely see how getting rid of distortion would make this band more accessable to the average person, but I'm thinking more along lines of artistic integrity and making the art you want to whether it makes you popular or not, doing what you were meant to do, making the music you want to make, and in general making the best piece of art you can, whether it is accessable/marketable or not.

  • @Warnerchild Oh I see, yes I am in luck, but I feel the distortion really adds something, that's why I defend it, I would like it even if it was extremely unpopular to do so.

  • @Warnerchild Well, those "good old youtube arguments" don't do anyone much good, what you've got to do is approach the situation with a clear head and devoid of emotions that will make you stumble.

I didn't pussy out, I took it to a higher level, beyond mere insults, I think insults are a weak excuse for a logic.

I'll look them up, honestly I've never heard of them, what I've heard of modern distortion music is Best Coast, chillwave and Wavves.

I'm glad this could be resolved so peacefully :)

  • what i'm trying to say is this band actually has talent unlike the rest of these bands and shouldn't hide behind distorion. cos they could reach a wider audience and make a few more bucks and be able to keep going in this current economy and shit.

  • but i work in the music industry and as a fan of the band i was merely giving adivce, rather than having a go at you. as a fan you may be bummed if they dropped the distortion, but luckily for you it's in fashion at the moment and you can move onto another atlas sound band,

  • @elvisheepofdoom

haha damn i was hoping we would have a good old youtube argument - hence my hipster insult.

    but you pussy'd out

i find it hard to believe ya like those bands without hearing of gorillavsbear.

type in gorillavsbear on google, it will make your day.

of course your different and your allowed to be. you cant please everyone even if the band themselves read this. there is a 50/50 chance they will agree with one of us, thats just life.

  • @Warnerchild Uh, no, I'm exactly the opposite, I think it's stupid to say that all music is the same, I devide music into many many genres and subgenres. Distortion while it is not a genre is an element in making music and in that respect the bands I mentioned have something in common.

"Gorillavsbear"- what are are talking about? could you enlighten me on this?.

I'm not sure what your last sentence means, what are you talking about? "electrical bands"?.

And what music do you like?.
