Nothing strikes fear into the hearts of the minions of evil like a song! Erm...well...if they really hate music I mean.
Anyway, well played bards are always fun to have in a party.

I dunno... bards can be awesome if you get them some swashbuckler levels, with the dex instead of strength fighting and the weapons feats, or alternately dashing swordsman levels, with your charisma bonus added to your attack if you say something witty when you strike, and the immunity to damage from shattered glass to help with dramatic window enterences.
