Todays junk shop find, had to have it for a tenner! Originally supplied to South Eastern Electricity Board (SEEB) and probably from the Chalwyn factory - this model with the reflectors seems less common. Not too sure of date (maybe late 60s?), come on Paul, help me out ;-)

  • I've only just come across this Nigel, well I have no idea about the date, but Im guessing your correct in saying late sixties, maybe earlier going by the small reflectors above the main lens.

I have one of these in this style, painted red and nowhere near as good a condition as this one.

For a tenner you had a good buy. I would have bought that myself for that kind of money.

I know these are old hat nowadays, but they still work surprisingly well in my view, as you can see when you lit her up.

  • I think I have two of these in the garage... maybe I will put bulbs in them and run them off a generator or something. I think there in worse condition then worse. One is painted red, the other white

  • I can't believe how clean it is! These are getting hard to find nowadays, most of them were dumped.

  • very nice its im better condition than my two.

  • Very cool piece!
