  • Hey there sister. I was just wondering hhow your sleep thereapy (CPAP machine) is working out for you? I was diagnosed with "Severe Sleep Apnea" about the same time as you, but the pressure required to keep me apnea free is so high they had to give me a Bi-PAP machine instead. I have to admit it did take quite a bit to get used to it and even now i have those sleepless nights when I just fight with my mask all night when it leaks. I definately feel much better though, how about you?

  • @patricksilva - Hiya! I'm doing OK with mine. There are leaky nights and last night it started putting off a bad smell and I had to take it off but it's literally and figuratively a life-saver! I'm afraid to ever sleep without it and look forward to going to bed every night.:)

I'm glad you're doing so well on yours too!

  • I keep procrastinating on my sleep study...

  • Do NOT wait!!!!! Do it as soon as you can!!!

The more I learn about it the more freaked out I am by it. Sleep Apnea KILLS people, not to mention giving them high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attacks, strokes and any number of other illness and mentally and physically disabling conditions!

Lets not end up being permenantly damaged (or worse) by this disorder! Let's do this together!

  • ugh, I hate those machines...I have several friends that have used those machines and they're horrible. We called them darth vader masks....of course, I don't know what they look like now a days. lol

    Love your wet curls! ha!

I hope it works for you - good luck!

    mike

  • Looks like I won't get the full mask, just the nose pillows but they're just as dorky looking. But when it comes down to it... hell... I'll be asleep and so will falcon so who cares how it look... it's hopefully going to improve my life (and save it). :)

  • I dunno... A lot of the information out there is exaggerated and written in such a way as to scare you. SA is often associated with the other conditions, only one of which I have, but the diabetes is under control...

My diabetes was more likely the result of decades of eating mostly junk food, a sedentary lifestyle, heavy drinking, and getting almost no exercise. I'm gradually changing the lifestyle...

It's still a good idea for me to get the sleep study done, though...

  • I hope the machine works for you hon. Hopefully you will rest better. And I am curious to find out how it will be plugged in. :-)

  • I hope it works out for you and you get some quality sleep. What kind of hair-do are you going for with all the rollers? It's going to be wild:)

  • Glad your sleep study went well. I couldn't tolerate the nasal pillows because I'm a mouth breather, so I wear the mask which has been awesomely difficult due to my massive sinus problems. But I'm not giving up! I'm on CPAP too. Glad your sleep study went well and you found something to work for you.

  • I see Charlene (Charlambe) tried to comment to you and as usually youtube is not letting people comment. lol I was going to say Charlene just got that machine and it's working fabulous for her. I hope it works equally as great for you. :)

  • I like your shirt Kick ass. <3 . I have poodle hair. I should make one of my real hair for kicks and let all laugh and have fun with that and run wild.
