  • @satyu131089 whoops, haven't seen all your posts until now. satyu, I still haven't heared you call a piece which is suitable for young people. Could you name me one, and tell me why? Thank you.

  • @satyu131089 Hmmm... guess you don't want to discuss the content of some of your previous posts. Well, enough of that then. Regarding the playing in this video. i think she's talent. The performance however is not very good. For a Chopin piece her right hand is not dominant enough. Her strength decreases halfway through. Tbh i think when she performed this piece she must not have practiced the piece many times. But for a 10 year old it is a decent level of playing. she must be really good by now

  • @Ianthe22 i definitely give credit to her dexterity of hands... no doubt.... i agree i can't play as clearly.... and she's doing just about the best for her age...point is that it leaves a lot to be desired when you close your eyes and hear....probably cos she's not old for it....

  • @satyu131089 You start off by saying she can't possibly understand Chopin's music right? Mainly cause of her young age. Well Chopin has made a large variety of different music. So there is a lot of Chopin's music which can be perfectly understood by young pianists. Please do the girl the justice and give her some fair critique on the particular video which is posted. And if you have noticed i did answer and mingle in some of the previous posts. You are jumping a lot around in the lines.

  • @Ianthe22 read previous post carefully... the grief and sorrow part is not about minute waltz... and what are you defending? and do you argue that this piece has been done justice to here? if yes, i don't wish to argue anymore.... pls understand that music is way more than pressing the right keys....

  • @MrMgriend You didn't ask me, but i think both composer can be represented by young people. Rachmaninov also enjoyed playing Chopin. They seem quite connected tbh. satyu131089 is misinterpretating things. At least that is how it seems to me. he's misleading everything. It seems he has misunderstood parts of the movie "shine". He's comparing Rachmaninov's most difficult pieces to Chopin's most easy ones. If he's comparing Rach's nr. 5., 3. to the minut valse.. evidence he has no clue whatsoever.

  • @satyu131089 I think you are mixing the themes of Chopin's music together with the technical difficulties of his pieces. Please don't tell me you honestly think this valse is a deep emotional complex piece of music. I played this valse when i was 8 the first time. I think your interpretation of the piece is very loose. It is difficult to respond to your post. You are jumping a lot between the lines. And no grief and sorrow isn't main parts of this valse. Else what would you call his etudes???????

  • @MrMgriend You are being very modest. Chopin is often a lot more simpel.

  • @satyu131089 She must certainly have a teacher! Why didn't the teacher correct it? She certainly has the skills to play it better. It's not a question about difficulty. It's about making it sound more fun!;D. Like the whole story of Chopin being inspired by his dog chasing it's own tail.
