Minecraft - Tutorial: The Sizzler

This is a small, quick to build, and efficient device you can attach to my mobavator style hostile mob collection system to kill and collect their loot.

The Sizzler should be able to handle any heavy load of mobs that you can legitimately feed it. Sulphur, arrows, bones, and feathers are harvested from the tall mobs with 100% efficiency.

However, its simplicity comes at the cost of not properly handling spider drops.

I just finished your full system, the mobavator/spawn system complete with sizzler and it works. If a new player like me can make it I think anyone can.

Hey Etho.

I've build your complete system (spawning area, mobavator, sizzler) on my private server, that runs from my computer. I use it only for me and my brother and the server has 4 Gigs of RAM. No lagg or anything. Problem is: I get almost no drops from the mobs that come up on the server! I loaded the world in Singleplayer and there I get tons of drops. What is that? I think the drops fall down some otherway in Multiplayer than Singleplayer. Any suggestions to help me? Thanks.

I can't get as many mobs

I just made this with your mob system on a server and it's working pretty good. The only problem I have is that spiders don't swim up the mobavator. All the other mobs work fine though. Thanks for the good tutorials.

It works fine for me in SMP, the only problem is that it does not kill spiders for some reason.

@FabianK95 It's called SMP Lag :\ not really a way to fix it. Will there could be but.. You would have to simplify your mob system. I know it sucks. :(
