russian tanks from the T54/55 onwards were designed for midgets to minimize weight and siluotte, the idea is that crew should be max 1,65 meters tall. A 1.80 meters tall soldier wouldn't fit inside.

Прочитал треть комментариев... устал. Ребята, один вопрос: а почему АК-47 самый распространенный автомат в мире? А потому что он БЕЗОТКАЗНЫЙ. И способен стрелять в любых условиях. И эта концепция применима к любому нашему вооружению. Оно должно стрелять при любых условиях. И не глохнуть со своими турбо-винтовыми двигателями (как абрамс к примеру) в условиях пустыни. Кстати на те испытания т-90 единственный(!) из образцов дошел своим ходом (700км). Остальных привезли...
