  • We are pushing the power limit of the 5325. To run faster we would need a bigger tractor with more power. The JD dealer suggested a smaller hay conditioner. But the tractor handles it ok at 7 miles an hour.

  • I would rather have a John Deere baler but for now I use a New Holland because thats what I have. It actually works just fine.

  • @Willow2551 Nah, I'd keep the old New Holland as long as she gets through the field fast enough for you and you aren't having major problems with it. Those old balers are really good machines and if taken care of will outlast you. We used to run an old New Holland 68 when I was a kid and that machine is still in the fields. The majority of the New Holland hay equipment was and still is top notch.

  • @jayss10 The baler doesn't miss a bale but you do have to run slow or it isn't good at making consistent size bales needed for a good stack in the bale wagon, and it doesn't have a very wide pickup head. But we will keep using it for now.

  • is that quigily down under song ?

  • @saturdaymornings777 The song is called The Cowboys by Henry Mancini

  • That is really good looking hay

  • This is an excellent video. I was surprised you weren't going faster with that haybine. We used to run about 10 mph with ours. We bought a New Holland and I have yet to find a speed it won't handle. With the Deere or New Holland we would mow 5 foot tall orchard grass at 8+mph. It will surprise you what a discbine will handle

  • i had a 273 when i was a kid then we got a 315 what a piece of shit!! then i bought a 570 and that baler eats hay and never misses a knot.

  • Great video! Well made.

  • HELP our Co-op needs a grower with alfalfa hay &/or mix with other. Some tell me that growers were sitting on their hay waiting for prices to rise. A gas shortage to raise prices won't kill cars and trucks, but growers would do that with hay and put horses at risk?

So, anybody fair minded who cares about these animals out there? we've gor about 25 members who use about two doubles load per month and we need it now.

    VALLEY CO-OP, Tony, 951-237-1275

  • great wagon! is it as easy to handle as it seems to be? were can i find a used one? thank you!

  • We feed all of our horses first cutting hay. All of the second and third cutting is sold. The video is a third cutting which is mostly Alfalfa.

  • Excellent! I was looking for someone going through the process and showing machinery and how a real farmer collects hay :)
