Volvo City Safe

Volvo's newest safety feature is City Safe. It is demo'd at the 2008 LA Auto Show. Short version is up to 9mph if driver is inattentive and car ahead stops, the Volvo applies 100% braking power to stop and avoid an accident. Between 9-18 mph if driver attention diverted and car ahead stops, the Volvo applies 50% brake pressure and driver can take over to avoid collision, or simply have a minimal impact with the car in front.
