Safety Film using the 1991 Chevrolet Caprice at 50 mph into a Chevrolet C1500 pickup. The gas tank on the truck was relocated inside the frame rails. The Caprice did VERY well!

  • I still have the Roadmaster, to add from what I wrote a few yrs ago when I posted this video, and I still see Caprices and Roadmasters around here. On the highway I am getting about 28-29 and in town about 19-20. Not bad at all. I have seen a growing number of collectors getting these cars since they were the last of the body on frame rwd ones.

  • I still have my Roadmaster which makes me feel good that its a safe car. Id rather drive a big car like that made on the old school frame than these new unibody tin roller skates!!!

  • One thing for sure, st least in VA and MD, NC states, I see a lot more Caprices from the 70s 80s and 90s, and almost no Fords. Even on a daily basis, I will see a 80s Caprice running around and still looks like new.

  • .... Caprice is the best car of all the times

    especially the b-body 9c1

  • and if you've ever driven one of the police editions, with the LS1 motor in it, you'll understand why they're known as the 4 door corvette.

  • These are completely unfair and inacurate test since the older chevy truck is of age and rust and metal fatige wich makes these test completely inacurate by all means.

  • look my motor in my 91 caprice is knocking n ya'll was testing dem out back in da day do ya'll still have a engine for me lol no really my shit been in da same spot of days months wat years is it kml

  • @anth4484 LT1,, but ur right,, phenomenal car,,

  • @regency98us I still think the lt1 in the 9c1 caprices and the lt1's in the roadmasters were the best engine ever built. My 1995 roadmaster sedan gets a surprisingly good fuel mileage with that lt1 power. I'm getting almost 29 MPG highway with mine. If you are constantly pounding on the gas flooring it, it will get less though. But if you need the extra horses it's all there with the lt1. It's almost embarassing for newer cars getting the same or less mpg with 1/2 the power.

  • What's the point if you don't show the aftermath? Can't tell if that was good result or a horrible one...

  • @regency98us yup exactly put in a little more gas but it will save your ass

  • What happened to the car industry? Dam...

  • @anth4484 LT1 not LS1 haha ;p but indeed those were a beast xD

  • @melkerh23 96
