I walked up the stairs one evening into my friend's room and his brother was playing the song "Black Dog". The year was 1975. I had never heard anything like that song before in my rather short musical experience. I almost fell back down the stairs. The tempo, the timing, the intensity. It was love at first riff. 36 years later I still can't stop listening to this band
