Typography: Mean Girls Sample

Just started to learn how to make topographies. They're so fun! I know this is a REALLY short clip, but it took me about 2 hours since this was my first ever attempt. Let me know what you think! Any suggestions on other things I should try?

What software did you use for this?

My friend's dad just sold me his Adobe After Effects CS3 for Windows because he just switched over to Macs. I'm in love with this software!!!

I'd love to learn how to use After Effects and that kind of software, but I don't necessarily have the cash.

I know. I would have never been able to afford it if it wasn't for my friend's dad. You're best bet if you're looking to find a copy would be to find an old version of After Effects (such as After Effects 6, I think) on Ebay or something. People are going to be selling it for less because it's 5 or so years outdated.
