In March of 2008 our house was flooded. We decided to raise our house up out of the flood plain in hopes that it won't flood again. It's an awesome site to see a 75 ton house in the air.

raise them 15 -20 feet then they will neaver flood even if the south pole melts!

I raised my house a few years ago - looks like basically the same method they are using here. I don't have any video of the process but if anyone is interested I have a ton of photos of the preparation, lift, foundation replacement and other details -- geekazon dot com slash house

i do these house raises in washington state we raise the up about ten fet, im putting a vid up of us lowering on on friday so check my page on tuesday and it will be up, let me know what you think!

all new plumbing electric and so on is sure worth it.

@roswoldj It only took about 3 months for the actual lift, new foundation and lowering. The year + was the complete gut rehab on the entire house of which I was doing a major amount of the work myself.
