@valiantbros, I'm not making up the story, it really happened, he looked exactly like him and even said his real name was Sylvester Ritter, I would never make fun or talk ill about someone who passed away, maybe he has a twin brother, faked his death or just a look alike that's fucked up in the head.

@mr10tomidnight Dude he is in the HOF. his daughter Latoya {RIP} accepted the HOF award on his behalf. He was inducted into the WWF 2004 HOF class.

@tjmack010 You are sadly mistaken. JYD passed away in 1998. Please dont disrespect his memory by making up fake stories. THX. JYD-RIP. I actually met the real JYD in July of 1994, he was the first wrestler I ever met in the business. The guy that trained me as a wrestler WWE HOF Jimmy Valiant used to tag team with JYD alot. JYD was a real inspiration to me.

history check he is from wadesboro nc went to school at bowman sr high i seen his picture on the wall at the weight room and the school... his house is no longer there thers a gass staion there a marathon staion ...and if you nwant to know where he is laid to rest we in our town of wadesbro well we wont tell but he is close to home rest my coach rest you was a good coach and one heck of a foot ball player ...
