  • the reason we dont have seperate venues is that after six months of choice the smoking pubs would have gone from strength to strength and the non-smoking pubs would have dissapeared into financial obscurity the only way forward is seperate well ventelated smoking rooms as it was in the old days bar for smoking lounge for non smoking but they wont do that as it will open the door for every land lord who lost his home and livelyhood to sue the gov,ash,w.h.o ect for every penny in lost earnings

  • @okidot You are being idiotic - none of us should have things ecxactly the way we prefer them everywhere but this is what you appearr to suggest is your right. What about other people? i guess they have no rights

  • Hmmm, non smokers whining about their rights .. whats wrong with smoking and non smoking pubs? Its actually selfish for a group of non smokers to think that every place should be non smoking .. let smokers have a place too .. but they wont do that, doesnt make any sense to me .. this is mainly about the freedom of choice being taken away from property owners .. smokers have been getting pushed further and further away, not having a right to choose is bad for ALL freedom and is a bad example.

  • even when i smoked i had the respect for the people around me, and understood that my habit is basically dirty and irritating. I mean, you are not trying to have the right to eat a sandwich where you please. A cigarette spills off LOADS of fumes that go everywhere, and other people will breathe this in. The choice to smoke near non smokers is very pathethic and selfish, no debate about it. Im just shocked at people reactions to the smoking ban as if they are petulant children. Morons.

  • ahahah hillarious, a bunch of addicts trying to justify their addiction. Classic addict reactions, very amusing. I never once heard of the smoking bans initiative to be encouraging to people to stop smoking. Thats ridiculous, and far from the reason. The smoking ban is to protect the rights of the non smoker. Pity smokers intelligence/reasoning is literally hi-jacked by their addiction, making them think the have the right to smoke where they please. Its harmful to others.
