  • Thank you for posting your video's. I enjoy watching them. I'm 1 week post op and am STARVING!! Did you have this problem?

  • You are in what they call BandsterHell :) It stinks you are hungry but you dont want to eat. Just remember that during this time you are suppose to be healing the losing is just a bonus. Any more questions just ask. I should be posting an update tomorrow 9/12/08 :)thanks so much for watching & Good luck - Hugs, melissa :)

  • I am so glad to hear about the "building up of the Lap Band fills". I am so frustrated. I had my first fill 3 weeks ago (2cc's) and was so disappointed that nothing had changed. I am still hungry and can eat normally. My second fill is next week. I am so ready for things to start happening....Thanks, Lori

  • Lori - Just hang in there the restriction is coming - The lapband is especially for people who are patient lol - But the 2nd fill you will definitely fill the restriction. I cannot wait for my 3rd fill to really get the restriction :) Thanks for watching & keep me posted - Hugs, Melissa :)

  • im 15 and my mom is looking into the lapband for me i have been overweight for about well...since i was like 9 or ten and now im at the weight to get one but i was wondering if you knew the age requirements i know they do young but i dont know about in texas some things we heard were to get it done it mexico? but i was just asking thx!

  • I think the age limit is basically your surgeons limits. You have to discuss that with a surgeon. I have heard of young people as young as 13 going to Mexico to get it done. Dr Ariel Ortiz is the one that I have read about doing younger bandsters. But please keep me updated on your journey - thanks for watching- hugs, Melissa :)

  • Aww thank you so much :) I am so glad the videos are helping people - that was my goal to at least help one person :) November will be here before you know it- Congrats on yours as well- thanks for watching - Hugs, Melissa :)

  • This video was so helpful and informative, i'm having my surgery in november... kind of a long wait.... but i'm so excited for myself and everyone i see progressing with this surgery, its fantastic.... good luck darlin- all the best fo luck!!!

  • Hey there - thanks so much for watching :) I chose the lapband over the others because I have a blood clot condition to where any major surgeries to possibly kill me with a blood clot. So i decided w/ the lapband. Also it seems to have less risk involved but lots of people on here have had the rny w/ no problems. so just each case is different. I just chose it because it seemed to be what fit me. I am patient so the slow weight loss doesn't bother at least somedays lol. Just my 2 cents - :) Mel

  • Dr Scott Davis did my surgery of Emory Hospital - He is awesome - Yes I would recommend him in a heart beat very sweet man - if you have questions he answers everything and never rushes you - Yes go to his seminar that are Awesome :) Please keep me posted on your choice :) Hugs, Melissa :)
