Learn a few of the myths about pot bellied pigs and what the truth really is.

Best Friends Animal Society is a nonprofit organization building no-kill programs and partnerships that will bring about a day when there are No More Homeless Pets. At the core of Best Friends work is the dream that one day kindness will replace cruelty, and animals will no longer be destroyed because they are unwanted or imperfect. Spaying and neutering will be the rule for all pets and adoption will be the first option for everyone. Making this dream a reality is the mission we call No More Homeless Pets. The society's leading initiatives in animal care and community programs are coordinated from its Kanab, Utah, headquarters, the country's largest no-kill sanctuary. This work is made possible by the personal and financial support of a grassroots network of supporters and community partners across the nation.

  • Gotta love them!! XD

  • Way to go! This video helps set things straight! I'm looking to adopt a pig who has been abandoned. Poor things.

  • 5 bucks says Frank wanted a pig.

  • oh Jamia , always teaching us something <3

  • Pigs are so awesome! Why would you even buy one if you're gonna get rid of it once it's grown that's like.. disrespectful ..to the pigs. You wouldn't do that to your kid!

Also guys.. FUCK JAMIA, I WANT THE CHECKBOOK! XD

  • oh my gosh, these pigs are so nice.

  • GET THE CHECKBOOK

  • YES JAMIA WHAT YOU WAITING? GET THE FUCKING CHECKBOOK!

  • My friend has a pot bellied pig that I take care of when he travels. Pigs don't smell. That is a total myth, they are very clean, they can be housebroken to go outside just like a dog, there is no smell that the person below refers to. They are smart & make good pets for some people. However, they are not "just like a dog" (as some people say) and they can be stubborn and demanding and they require a certain amount of patience.

  • What adorable faces! Thank you for setting the record straight too ~ to hear that such a small percentage of pet pigs keep their homes is staggering. People need to be aware! There's an article in National Geographic magazine about engineering the perfect pet. There is a mention "teacup" potbelly pigs, as you have stated this is a grave misnomer, people need to know the truth!
