Yes it is possible to make money as a nail tech. I suggest, before you take the leap of getting your own spa, get an understanding of what it will take to market your business. Start small working out of a nail shop. "Practice" your marketing and learn how to get clients and keep them.
When you have built a nice clientele and get to the point where your marketing efforts keep you busy and you need to hire help, this may be a good time to step out there.

Hi!! I'm REALLY considering becoming a Nail Tech, but I'm scared it won't pay a lot much money. My dream is to have a successful salon/spa in New York. I really hope I have what it takes because I REALLY don't want to struggle. :-/ Do you know how much nail techs can make?? Can you make a REALLY good living off of it?? PLEASE reply quickly!! Thanks!! ;-)
p.s. I plan on doing MORE than just nails; like massage, tanning, cosmetics, etc. Any suggestions???
