@donaldSWATman The source files were available on my website, but I'm in the process of moving to a new host (from EasyCgi to RackSpace). I'll send you a private message to a temp location to get the files.
If anyone else has a similar need, send me a private message and I'll send you the links. New site should be up some time this summer. I'm pretty busy at the day job, and didn't realize that folks were still using the book. :P

You should do video tutorials for Torque X2D. I'm just learning the engine/.level builder now and there is very little documentation for it, unfortunately, But it works with 360, so you can build games for the Indie section.
Speed 7, my card game on my channel was not build using Torque, however. My Ninja Chick game will be.

Nice graphics, and easy enough gameplay. You may want to tweak the animation of the cards moving though.
Sorry for my criticisms, but please understand that it's strictly constructive and I'm not just getting at you. I'm looking forward to your book being released - I'd like to read it.
When do you plan on releasing you'r book?
Do you cover making games for the zune or is there no difference in making one for xbox and zune?

This book was released in 2007. It was one of the first four books out there. I've been toying with the idea of writing another, but it's a major commitment -- from me and my family -- with very little reward. Still, I'm just about dumb enough to do it again. :)

I mention the problem with the animation layering in the chapter, and offer suggestions for correcting it.
I wanted to keep the code in the book simple, readable, and easily digestible. I purposefully left some issues in the game logic so that I could discuss them in the text and offer various solutions. I would never release a real game with a rendering issue like drawing moving cards behind stationary cards. :)
