This is Alfonso Soriano and Marlon Byrd in batting practice before the start of the game. The batting cage was located under the right field bleacher box seats, where we sat during the game. The reflection in the video is bad for the first 2 minutes, but then it get's better as it goes on. At 4:37, I wave (off-camera) at Alfonso Soriano and as you will see, he nods back at me! WATCH CAREFULLY!!! Also, look to see how close we are to them. They look right at us a bunch of times, so watch...

  • He nodded at his instructor telling him not to worry that he will find his swing. Glad that you had the chance to see him hit but hitting is a timing thing & I'm sure that he was watching the ball and you at same time and it was frustrating:)

I can't believe that MLB allows this set up. It is like they are monkeys at the zoo being watched. Do people go to your job and stare through a glass window at what you do?:) think about it! The appropriate thing to do is wait till after the game.

  • @Thebenigno8 no no no no! I know he knodded to me!

  • You should have showed him how to actually HIT the ball. Biggest waste of money ever.

  • Cubs suck

  • Don't mean to be a spoiler but play the video back. Listen to the coach & the timing. I know that Soriano is a great person but check the date when you attended this game & his hitting performance. I bet that it wasn't so hot. Thus the encouragement from the coach & the head nod from Soriano to him.

If you are a true fan of him I can get you a signed autograph ball when they come back next year. Not kidding! At least I owe that to you for spoiling things:)
