...And Justice For Jason !!

Not only was he turned down, he scooped his mids way down. No wonder you couldn't hear the guy

Id perfer the original line up with dave and cliff but dont get me wrong jason is a badass bassist but i like cliff more

@thunderbluff3 Happen to know for a fact that Cliff never used a five string bass. :)
-
@svengali0924 Yep. Jason's the man.

@SwingwenuSwagga Alright I admit I was a little harsh in my last comment, Cliff was totally sick. I just happen to prefer Jason Newsted as a bassist. To me his tone was better and his stage presence is probably the sickest I've ever seen. I will admit that Cliffs ability to play this music using his fingers was pretty amazing, but I'm just not into to the whole guitar solo on bass thing.

@svengali0924 WRONG. Cliff was a virtuoso. Lars and James saw him as an equal, something they never did with Jason. Just because you've never seen a bassist with equal standing to the guitarist doesn't mean he didn't know his role. No idea what you're on about regarding his tone.

Cliff was amazing, yes but Jason was a good bass player too. All the stuff on ...and Justice for All is very tough instrumentally and he did a good job, except that you can't hear him, and not just because the bass was turned down but because his bass parts double James' rythym section exactly, which consider how fast James plays, that's pretty good.
