  • Goose bumps.. <3 Occupy and everyone involved in it.

  • this brought tears to my eyes

  • @mutualpea Ever read the debates? Ever studied the creation of the US Constitution? You are absolutely incorrect about the use of "common" and "general".

It was about uniformity of trade/commerce, prevention of State monopolies, and "common defense". It wasn't meant to be pro-active or romantic. That was to be left to THE PEOPLE.

Why not "take control" of your State govt. and leave everyone else alone?

  • @mutualpea , hey you're welcome !!! hope it can help the mvt !! the struggle carries on !!!

  • very nicely done!

  • @mondybmusic ~~~ i listened to your song -- it rocks! Thanks for doing that!

  • LOVE the bat signal! THANK YOU, and best of luck to you guys!

  • @Bagsy84 ~~~ From the preamble of the US Constitution: "to provide for the common..." "...to promote the general welfare...." "...insure domestic Tranquility...."

That's what the US gvt. is set up to do, among other things. This idea that governments are only supposed to provide justice and defense came from right-wing, anti-democracy protectors of the ruling class who don't want common people to take control of the government and make it work for themselves like it was created to do.

  • @bubsadoozy ~~ Corporations hold power because, in the last 25 years or so, they've concentrated billions of dollars on putting corporate-friendly politicians in Washington and in 50 statehouses while paying lobbyists huge salaries to keep the corporate lullaby in legislators' ears. At the same time, most product and service quality has gone down, prices skyrocketed, wages stagnated, and media corporations have been telling us over and over that low-income people are stupid and lazy.
