On the contrary, I believe that a smoother surface provides a higher coefficient of friction.

And the reason that they use a prepared concrete floor surface instead of asphalt is so any spilled fluids are easier to completely clean up.

This is NOT a real incident.

The floor is SMOOTH and permit to the car to slide (especially in side crash) and dissipate more energy then if it was asphalt as it is in the streets.

They use a smooth floor to give you an idea of higher idea of safety on the one you would have on streets.

Why they use a smooth floor instead asphalt?
