Ok I've watched it now:) Awesome, I knew of the story of Keke stabbing her husband but we never got the part of why and that has to be something knowing the story but having the media paint things an entirely different way. I don't think I thought about it much because they were still married and I just got caught up in that voice! But praise God she's free and there are women that will be blessed by her story and survival.
And again I have to finish watching so not at all judging Keke's situation!!!! But that's the 2nd vid I heard that mentioned so was killing me not to address it. I think we have to discern who is who at all times, and for the R&B artist rather they're saved but needs prayer to walk it out, or the one that is not and needs prayer to know it and truly repent and worship/serve the Lord. every Christian sings gospel music, there are Christian artists that would be shunned because they're music isn't always saying glory to the Lord, but the lyrics still represent Him. That is different from artist who willingly go against the God they claim to believe in in their music. It's important to paint that full picture both for the artist claiming to be a Christian and the believer that should pray for them. Your Christianity comes out in your lifestyle and music as well.(2)
I have to finish watching this but I have to say this, it's not that the church doesn't get that people sing R&B and are saved. It's that the church know that not everyone that says Lord Lord will enter into the kingdom. So somebody that sings music contrary to the WORD of God shows that they are not producing the fruit that God says we'll be able to know them by.
I personally believe there are people that get caught out there knowing they are sinning but there is a difference in that not (1)
Know your parents' story, and heed the lessons in it. Although U may not have to live their struggles, those issues will be visited upon U, and U will have to prove that U are willing to overcome them. The failures of the father of my flesh that I promised my soul I would never do I DID do. And I didn't realize it until Jesus said to me, "U have become your father." At that moment I was healed. But the journey back remained. Do not judge your parents. Matthew 7:2
