Stupid ass bitch, its called baking soda. It absorbs oil and smothers everything. We've had to use it when oil splashed out and got on the burners.

no wet cloth. water is heavier than oil (oil and water don't mix) the water sinks, it boils and turns to steam, thus pushing the oil in the pan out. which speards the fire. dry cloth is good.

1 litre of water will create 1700litres of steam. when the water turns to steam, instantly because the flashpoint of cooking oil is +327c, it rises carrying the burning oil with it.

Thanks for the video. Very dramatic how much damage a cup of water can do when thrown on an oil fire. I never thought about what number people dial for in various countries. In the US we dial 911.
