  • @drkeener i like what you said about trying your favorite tunes in a different key or different tuning. i am self taught and have been playing for a while,but i havent grasped the keys and more, but i would like to try a different tuning. one of my favorites to play is "dee" by randy rhoads. do you have any suggestions on what tunings to mess around with and what kind of feel they might have? appreciate any advice....thanks, b.

  • @il1il1il1li The tunings I most commonly use are Drop D (DADGBE), Open G (DGDGBD), a variation on Open D (DADGBD) and DADF#BE There are dozens if not hundreds of tunings one could use, but these are the ones I've used the most over the years. Take care, Bruce
