The unemployment situation in America is not a matter of finding jobs but of changing our perspective and our approach and creating WORK. We've been going at this all wrong for decades.
What can we do locally to resolve our economic problems?
1. Create and use a local trade system.
2. Create and grow non-profit community coops.
3. Determine the needs of the people in the community and use 1 & 2 to meet those needs.
Community coops can be used to:
1. Build/rebuild homes & buildings.
2. Create and sell products to towns/cities around the country/world for resources to be used locally.
2a. These products could be very pro-humanity items - organic food, electric/solar cars, electric/solar buses, clothing, building materials such as bricks, etc.
3. Generating local electricity and heat.
4. Building new community transportation systems.
5. Overhauling the local education system and helping teach the children.
6. Helping train each other in a variety of skills/knowledge areas.
7. Caring for the elderly.
8. What would you add to the list?
If you decide not to like this, then at least be courageous enough to say why.
