@dzarren Sometimes when these pockets fill up, the balls can actually cause a hard shot to bounce out(or so I've read) and that's why some times the players will move pocketed balls from one to the other to keep a pocket empty to prevent the balls from bouncing out.
@Valdinsh can't say a shot was good if the player gets lucky, if you take a very close look his aim was realy bad considering he was cueing on the left part of the white ball ( spectator view ), the white caught spin. I like the player, like his style, was just expecting him to have better experience with the jump cue. And i know a lot of random things can happen when you jump, but the cueing itself was done wrong since he settled on the shot. Just my 2 cents.
2) the jump shot was very well executed though he aimed it wrong
3) he got lucky that the six fell in and even more lucky that two ball married to the nine
4) facing a tough combo shot off the two ball he could have ended the rack a lot earlier (the second slight bump on the nine from the cue ball rolled the nine slightly off the line of the pocket)
consensus - the jump shot was good and he even made a ball
Jim says, ''no room for error'' on that Archer's shot at 1:31 when seeing how hit and made the ball one can stop at 1:36 while the ball is rolling right pass the seven he has a full pocket. If if he would have hit the ball a bit off the aiming line he would still make it. The only psychological distraction was the seven, though because it was so far and the one and the cue ball were close Johnny was fully able to concentrate on that shot experiencing no psychological discomfort at all.
@op3l well yeah I understand that, but hes taking the balls out of the pocket that hes not even shooting into.

@isinox
besides the fact that Thorsten won the rack, he:
1) jumps very well
2) the jump shot was very well executed though he aimed it wrong
3) he got lucky that the six fell in and even more lucky that two ball married to the nine
4) facing a tough combo shot off the two ball he could have ended the rack a lot earlier (the second slight bump on the nine from the cue ball rolled the nine slightly off the line of the pocket)
