This Act takes place within Chumley's Rest (the local sanitarium). Wilson (a white slaver that works at Chumley's Rest), finds Dr. Chumley (the head of Chumley's Rest the local sanitarium). Wilson and Dr. Chumley visit with Judge Gaffney (the Dowd family lawer), Veta Louise Simmons (Elwood P. Dowd's sister, and the mother of Myrtle Mae Simmons), and Myrtle Mae Simmons (Elwood P. Dowd's neice, and Veta Louise Simmons's daughter). Ms. Kelly (the nurse at Chumley's Rest), and Dr. Sanderson (the doctor at Chumley's Rest) join them. Elwood P. Dowd (Veta Louise Simmons's brother, and Myrtle Mae Simmons's uncle) comes in after a while. They decide to give Elwood P. Dowd formula 9-7-7 so he doesn't see Harvey. Mr. Lofgren (the cab driver) enters near the end and after that interesting unexpected twists start to happen.

  • I recently played the role of Judge Gaffney, and I have to ask. Why is your judge dressed as a British colonial soldier?

  • My favorite part was 11:13

  • @PatrickMitchStephen Though I agree with the majority of your defense, I don't think we deserve a 'punishment' for simply 'not being good' because we still put in an amount of work to pull the show off.

  • @NorviceTurner Wilson is labeled as a 'white slaver' because that's what Veta calls him. You have no idea what went on while we were trying to pull this thing together. We didn't have alot of people available to participate as actors, so we took what we could get. No matter how you look at it, we put on a performance, and I'll be damned if I didn't do my best for my first play.

  • @environmentalist47 She was an eighth grader drafted in after our original judge quit.

  • @MeggieRocks1994 You shut your stinking vagina. Nobody gives a rat's ass about you or your school. This play had a higher amount of heart than the ones you eat for breakfast.

  • @NorviceTurner Calm down, these are just high school students who clearly have never acted before in their lives. They shouldn't be expected to do well, and that's the way it is. They may not have been good but come on, at least they know their lines, right? Obviously they won't ever be movie stars and knowing that should be punishment enough.

  • It's funny that the info section calls Wilson a "White slaver" when he is just a strong arm for Dr. Chumley. The fact that someone actually believes that Wilson is a character that forces women to have sex for his personal benefit is funnier than anything seen in the play. This is the worst production I've ever seen. It's like they only memorized lines and have no idea what is actually going on in the play. It's just unbelievably bad acting and directing on a level I have never seen before.
