Produced in cooperation with North America's top breeders, this DVD provides insights into the history, temperament, sociability and life span of 20 different breeds of cats. It includes colorful charts that indicate brushing requirements and detail how active and vocal each breed tends to be, and a special section with valuable tips on what to look for when choosing a kitten.

  • ..acually they are keeping them safe. its not cruel. some sick bastards, like to harm or poision outdoor cats, some steal them for value, and some will go to anything because they are so nice. i wouldnt want my cat going to a great big rottie to get torn appart. my cats indoor as well. mainly cuz i know the people around here arnt that nice to animals

  • i have a male balinese he's 15 yrs old now. he's like a dog so intelligent and does things that keeps me wondering that he's really thinking.

If u like cats and are willing to put up some money on the table i would certainly recommend a balinese he or she will be ur companion for life and they are great with children too.

  • 1:47 SO true. I have two balinese kittens and their mom and it's a constant battle between loving them as much as i can and keeping their ego's in check !

  • Indoor cats have a higher lifespan than outdoor cats or ones that are allowed out. It's just not worth the risk.

  • @LittleMissSorrow666 I have an outdorr cat that's lived for 13 years so far and the only fights he's gotten in were with other cats.

  • @lexxwolfen Also, just as people kidnap purebred dogs, someone may be tempted to try to steal an expensive purebred cat like that.

  • The lack of an undercoat is also really nice if you're an allergy sufferer like myself yet still want a fuzzy companion. They also produce less of the protein I'm allergic to making this type of breed a cat I would love to have in my home!

  • You can always give your kitty the best of both worlds ^_^ You can build outdoor enclosures for your cat to "explore" and "experience the outside world" in, but all in safety :) Also, if you have a fenced in area, & are watching your cats & outside with them, I don't see anything wrong with letting them out that way for a little bit of adventure.

And if you have the room (and the $) you can always make a cat room that incorporates lots of plants and access to fresh air, while still being safe.

  • @lexxwolfen misconception.some breeds are more active than others.

  • my parents have 3 balinese!!!

  • They are so cute!

  • @SpongLena Cats only become lazy if they're not provided with enough stimulation. It's not being indoor that does it, its due to the owner not taking the initiative to play with the cat. Letting it out is a lazy way of keeping it "fit". all you're doing is shortening its life, putting it at great risk.
