After five, Yuigahama (由比ヶ浜海岸) mahalo-surf-heroes of Japan

This is my first try at a short surf-movie...

Now that guy can surf ! ! !
He even shoots his stuff While Surfing !
The man is amazing.

Kamakura might be my favorite place on the planet...
On a Cold day (October 29) I went to Kamakura wanting a change of scenery. I stopped for what was intended to be a minute at Yuigahama beach, only to leave hours later. The water was cold, it must have been... But the surfers were indifferent to the chill. Being to happy to notice the water temperature, they kept paddling out to get a new wave... The smiles where wide and bright as was the (aloha) spirit... going into, or coming out of the water. The pure bliss in their eyes easy to spot... To me, these young guys and gals are true heros, for not sitting in a 'nomiya' (bar) after five, as convention dictates, choosing instead to follow their bliss... In a society that demands conformity more than most... well, you get my point, right?
This short movie is my tribute to them and their (warm) hearts and spirits... and that feeling of being high on life...
