  • Does the bulb have the large mogul (E39) type screw base and did you use an adapter to fit it to a standard medium socket? You can buy new 1000 watt 130v incandescent bulbs that have the E39 base for $17.86 on line. They're a whoping 13 inches tall and 6.5 inches diameter. Running it on 120v instead of 130v it will be slightly dimmer but it will last much longer.

  • FUCK YOU CONGRESS!

    GO INCANDESCENT!

  • @67tr876 the illegal ban is being lifted , peole have the right to use the electricity they pay for in their own homes as they seen fit.

  • Nice! That thing is BRIGHT! I don't know of any standard wall box dimmer that could handle it. Maybe one of those industrial units with heat sinks.

  • fuck the incandescent light bulb ban!

  • I have a nearly new GE 1000 WATT bulb with a large base that I got FREE!! It was from an old theater in Detroit. Look for the video soon on Youtube as I fire this baby up!

  • @monarch1957 Likely because these lamps are around $55 each new, although they can be found at flea markets and the like for much cheaper (my most expensive 1,000W lamp was ten bucks, and a very rare 1920s Champion branded one at that).

  • thats huge :D

  • There are electric heaters that don't use that much watts. I mean that is 1kw. lol!
