Haha I like how Ron had to use the two judo throws to get himself out of a bad position- something I would do also. That looks painful, I remember first watching on Fight Quest. I notice Ron holds it like Anakin and thrusts down upon his shorter opponent. That's a good strike.

Ron was great with the sticks back in the 90's,not a redneck at all, very smart and super fast.

thats a KO blow at around 2:35

Don't get shit twisted! Ron is a Vet. at ALL aspects of the fight game. I have met Ron twice once at his place in CT in at a Pekiti seminar in RI. He is a true mixed martial artist, long before it was even a sport. The smaller guy is quite good. His stick skills look about the same as Ron's if not a little better, but Ron is very well rounded and understands other aspects to the fight than just swinging the stick. As you see him switch his style and tactics.

Great fight thanks for sharing. It's good to see such levels of skill on video. I enjoyed the thrusts and hip throw as well.

@jeffsilva03 This was a tuff one. the sarge is a powerful hitter. Luckily I have footwork.
Right now I do not have knife vids out. Keep in touch though because there is always something new going on at my school.

we don't call it kali here in philippines... its either eskrima or arnis in which i hate to us the latter for i hate to use it when the former already has an established name.... kali might mean kali-bang which means to take a crap in bisaya.

I do notice "Kali" means various different things in different dialects. I have also noticed there is no actual historical proof that the word Kali is a fighitng style. However, there is no historical proof that it did not exist as a fighting style somewhere in the Philippines. My argument has always been, what was it called prior to the Spanish rule? No one seems to have an answer for that. Hence the reason i say there is no historical proof that the word did not once exist.
