'The Stampeders'

The Stampeders, (Kim Berly,Rich Dodson,and Ronnie King), are recognized as one of Canada's top rock groups of the 70's!

In 1972, they won Juno awards ( equal to grammy) for Best group, Best single,("Sweet City Woman")

Between 1971 and 1976, they recorded 10 albums with many reaching gold and platinum status.

Many of their songs,
" Sweet City Woman","Hit The Road Jack"
(with Wolfman Jack)," Carry Me " and "Wild Eyes", entered the top 30 in the U.S. and 12of their singles charted top-10 in Canada.
In my opinion, A Canadian Treasure!

Yes indeed, a great Canadian band. I was a huge fan of these guys in the 70's. I had all of their albums/8-tracks too.

They had some damn good tunes and each album was different from the former. If I had to pick one, it would be the "New Day" album. It is simply incredible.

@muskokan59 Yeah, up here the CRTC makes the radio stations play a certain amount of Canadian material, which usually results in us having to hear the same crappy Loverboy songs over and over. But it also means we get to hear The Stampeders, so really, it's worth it. These guys are one of the most underrated bands of all time.
