canadianation I couldn't have said it better

@muskokan59 Yeah, up here the CRTC makes the radio stations play a certain amount of Canadian material, which usually results in us having to hear the same crappy Loverboy songs over and over. But it also means we get to hear The Stampeders, so really, it's worth it. These guys are one of the most underrated bands of all time.

The guitar inthis song reminds me of a Glenn Campbell song. I think lineman for the county.

Odd that you selected that train at 1:14 There's a woman is being hit by the train. As seen in this video:

I seem to remember this being a summer song...when I hear it I think of hazy warm weather.
I haven't heard this in what,30+ years? I've lived in the States since '83,which most likely lessens my chances of ever hearing it on the radio,of course. Thanks for posting.I've just added it to my "canadian tunes" playlist :)

Yes indeed, a great Canadian band. I was a huge fan of these guys in the 70's. I had all of their albums/8-tracks too.
They had some damn good tunes and each album was different from the former. If I had to pick one, it would be the "New Day" album. It is simply incredible.
