It's very likely. The violinist is Jessica Pavone, and the two do a lot of work together.

Sorry from a sax (not music) point of view, ew. And you're known as a Multi dude, and you're using a metal Bari mouthpiece ion a bass sax? That's the easiest way to get notes out. Scott Robinson is King!

This clip is barely over a minute long. There's no frame of reference to put this into context. You and everyone else who derides this just put this into a box and labeled it crap automatically. It's perfectly reasonable to assume that having listened to the whole piece, this particular section might make a lot more sense. And there's no wool being pulled over my eyes either. I'll listen to any number of "straight-ahead" artists and still listen to Braxton. Maybe we're not sheep after all.

It seems counterintuitive to charge people money to hear "music" that sounds like my first year junior high band during warmup.

If it's *not* random gibberish, then it's awful. If it is, then my hat is off to him for getting suckers to believe it's something more.

Then again, there are people who will cling to anything just to be "different", "free", "open-minded", "non-conformist", etc. Basically, a bunch of contrarians saying "i don't need your rules" while making up their own parallel s

You either like Braxton or you don't. If you are one one of those scathing critics than I suggest you move on and not blight these comments with your critique. Plenty of danceable tunes can be found out there for you.
