In 2006 Employees of Unicco, now UGL Services, and students at the University of Miami went on what they called a hunger strike. It turns out it was actually just a diet and what's worse, this fake hunger strike was to protest AGAINST a secret ballot election. Yep, you read that right. The company was fighting FOR an NLRB sanctioned secret ballot election, the SEIU wanted a card check. Hunger strike against the right to vote??? That's a new one, even for the SEIU.
