Tonight's race would be started heads up, no invert for all divisions. You either started based on points or by qualifying. Dave would take the green flag and drive the Old Dominion Speedway oval for his last time in his #34 Mini Modified. There would be two cautions in tonight's event, before he took the checkers.
During his interview he referred to Mike Carte, Keith Riley, Bobby Able and Kevin Davis as track legends. He thanked his competitors for a great year of racing and said he looked forward to driving in the Late Model Division in 2011.

In Mini Modified, Dave Daniels celebrated his second championship in a row with his eighth win of the year. Daniels started on the pole and led every lap.
"I'm pretty happy winning the championship," he said. "This is my last hurrah in this car since I'm off to Late Models next year."
Mike Carte started second and finished second, his 12th top five of the season. Pete Green was third, Joe Riley fourth and Todd Johnston fifth.

Results from Old Dominion Speedway
Dave Daniels capped off an impressive season, taking home his 8th feature win in dominating style. He also is now officially crowned the 2010 Old Dominion Speedway Mini Modified champion. Veteran Mike Carte, one of only two other drivers who visited victory lane in the division, came home second, while Pete Green, "Halfway" Joe Riley, and Nick Johnston rounded out the top five.
