Well, you need the right glass, first off. A Guinness or Kilkenny pint glass is top drawer, but a standard pint glass will work well too. Pour the Harp or Bass first and using a spoon (round soup spoon is best), trickle the guinness on the outward bend of the spoon. If you can bend the spoon handle so that its closer to the Harp/Bass, that works great too. Cheers
