To my old friends, to my new friends and of course my dear family ...some of you that I will not see on this wonderful Christmas Holiday have a JOYOUS filled Christmas Day.
March of this year an old family friend passed away. His widow Mrs. Harris 79 years young requested a copy of the song above. The song was performed several years ago during one of my television shows for the Christmas season (hope you all saw it?:)). I do believe she thought I had forgotten the request...NEVER:)! The past two weeks with a little help from my friends- (TINA LOMBARD and BILL GUY) I went into the studio and recorded a brand new version of the song for her.
Words can not express what she has meant to my family over the years and she has known me since before I could even speak. When she first heard this song she commented that it was her favorite Christmas song ever:). I don't know if it really is or if it's just her favorite because I sang it... I guess I will never know:)! BUT- I do hope that she feels the love that was given with this present of the heart.
I know it will not fill the void that she will experience this holiday, but I do know love does go along way! With that being said, I don't think she will mind that I share this present to each one of you! Mrs. Harris get's this song wrapped up in a beautiful box with a bow as she spends Christmas day with us ...sorry this is being transmitted to you electronically:)! But please do enjoy! AND if you do enjoy it...feel free to share. That is truly what I think the season is all about...family, friends and sharing...what more could you ask for:)?
