8 year old Softball Pitcher Shelby Smith Slap and Slapbunt

Shelby is 8 years old and has been pitching for almost a year. She is is learning to hit, slap, slap bunt, drag bunt, bunt and sac bunt from the left side now. She already hits well on the right. Much of her early skills development is derived from the University of Houston staff and players who train her such as Abbie Sims, pitching coach and former Rockford Thunder player. She currently gets hitting lessons from Jessica Valis (left) and was learning from Christa Raley. She pitches on the select 10U Texas Shockwave
