i thought plants can only absorbs 1200 ppm at the max.

Nope not true. All plants when they started out millions of years ago they where adapted to the higher Co2 levels that where present at the time. There ability to absorb high amounts never changed. That's why all plant life back in the day where huge in comparison to today's standards, and its only due to the lower Co2 levels to date. The only reason why you don't want to go above 5000ppm is cause its deadly for humans above those levels. So max out your Co2 if you can you wont be disappointed.

Not really true. Levels up to ~600 ppm increase the photosynthesis rate. Above that the increase starts to level off until 1200 ppm.
Levels above 1200 ppm are only useful with higher light intensities. If you can get to 48,000+ lux , the plants can utilize 1200-1300 ppm. To take advantage of 1500 ppm you would need 80,000 lux of light, which is a major rarity. Millions of years ago the sun was much brighter. -Ed R.
