  • @MrBaseballBeast5 Good for you. Keep playing them. They're beatable. And on any given day in baseball...you never know! That's why you play the game!

  • @JasonKnine The Astros and other EC teams absolutely do travel. I've played against them in many locations outside of that particular facility. And I as well have had numerous discussions with EC coaches over the years.

EC baseball is definitely a money making machine and in my opinion they are over-priced for most players and not necessary to their development as future high school athletes.

However, they run decent tournements and I've never had a complaint.

    However,

  • @charlieb640 Okay East Cobb is a great place to play but so are a lot of other places. Teams and organizations support the Astros so why don't they return the favor? It's because they don't want to be exposed. They want to play in a controlled environment. They make money, have the best game times, loyal umpires and scouts. I know this for a fact as I have talked to Astros coaches. It's all about making money.

  • @JasonKnine Couple of reasons. The first is...the East Cobb facility is amazing and teams throughout the Southeast and the Nation come to this park. The quality of play at the tournements in East Cobb is amazing...not just the East Cobb teams.

I have been involved in many tournements at this park. I have not seen evidence of "Home Field Umpires".

  • No disrespect to the 13u Astros players, but why is it they don't play much outside of East Cobb? Could it be home field umpires, I mean advantage. Can't wait for the Astro's in Disney, unless the coaches back out.
