In early 2008, Focus on Film was invited to participate as one of only fifteen film schools chosen world wide because of our ground breaking work in the field by Pangea Day Organizers.
Nokia donated N95 video phones to the selected film schools to seed projects world wide. Focus on Film conducted free workshops and distributed the phones to ten young film makers from the age of 12 to 21. Each film maker created their own short pieces based on 12 human universals, among them: Love, Fear, Risk Taking, and Laughter.
Clips of FoF student work was chosen from hundreds of films produced for the global broadcast that reached millions in six cities world wide
Luminaries and Celebrities hosted the four hour show that was the first of its kind in a initiative to use film making to cross boarders and bring people together. Focus on Film is proud to have been selected and most of all proud to have been a part of such an amazing event.
